Joel Rockey is the artistic visionary behind the homegrown operation known as The Mustard Room. He grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana a quite imaginative child who never knew the word boredom. Whether creating his own radio programs with his cassette tape recorder, publishing newspapers from his bedroom floor or orchestrating puppet shows for family guests, his mind was always working overtime.

After spending several years studying art history, drawing and printmaking at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, Joel wed his college sweetheart and the two of them began a journey which would lead them to the further edges of family, faith and fortune.
 

Somewhere along the line, they began pursuing creative work for friends who began compensating them for their fine work in design, illustration and printing. Somewhere along the line, The Mustard Room was born.
